I like Painting Females

Of course I like to paint every day and every single painting is most important, but painting females is one of my favourite pursuits. I like to paint women. That is not a political statement and has nothing to do with feminism.

I am just concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty. Sometimes I just paint silhouettes and sometimes it is only an indication of a figure. I cannot explain why I paint female forms,

maybe it is because I am a woman myself…

I like to paint curves and circles. The female form is therefore a more logical choice because I like the flowing lines.

Most silhouettes I have painted have titles ending on: “-ious”. They all kind of depict an emotion or a feeling. I always hope thet the viewer can sense how the woman on the painting feels. Or at least that the viewer tries to think about what is the matter with her.
